we have seriously sweet tooth and this raw cacao & lingonberry smoothie is a perfect smoothie treat any time of the day to curb sugar cravings in a healthy way. raw cacao is off the charts when it comes to antioxidants – it’s 95,000 on the ORAC scale! this combined with lingonberry you’re really fighting the nasty free radicals.

plus cacao is a rich source of magnesium, the key stress busting mineral. it also contains an amino acid called phenylalanine or PEA. this helps you feel focused and alert and since it’s one of the essential amino acids, the body doesn’t produce it and it must be obtained from food.

ingredients:

  • 1 large banana

  • 3 dates

  • 1 tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 tsp vanilla

  • 1/2 avocado

  • 1 cup of hazelnut milk

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp dried lingonberries

place all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. we topped ours with more dried lingonberries and some roasted hazelnut.
